Shamshad TV ” شمشاد تلويزيون ” is a satellite television station in Afghanistan, which was launched in early 2006. The channel broadcasts 24 hours a day, providing educational, news, shows, dramas, and entertaining programs to both local areas of Afghanistan as well as other countries via satellite.
Shamshad TV programs are mainly (80%) in Pashto language, and therefore is available more in the south of the country. Shamshad TV is locally available in Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman (partial), Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Logar, Wardak, Khost, Paktia, Kandahar, Kunduz, Takhar, Balkh, Herat, Helmand, Spin Boldak Torkham, Mazar, Pul i Khumri, Gardaiz, Hirat and Speen boldak.
