On January 1st, 2010, YRF Television, a subsidiary of Yash Raj Films Pvt. Ltd., made its debut on Sony Entertainment Television, India’s foremost television broadcaster, heralding a new era of television viewing.
YRF Television brought a breath of fresh air to the small screen with its distinctive offerings. The inaugural season of YRF TV introduced five groundbreaking shows, including one non-fiction program, “Lift Kara De,” and four fiction series: “Mahi Way,” “Rishta.com,” “Powder,” and “Seven.” These shows dared to be different, presenting narratives that were daringly contemporary and resonated with the sensibilities of the modern Indian family.
